Poetry for School Gardens

Join us on September 23 from 4:00-5:30 pm EST for a free online event for Hunger Action Day! 

 The event will be hosted by:

During the event you can listen to poets read their original poetry, learn about our organizations, and learn about what you can do to help.

Event will feature poetry readings by: Taku Chikepe, Diane Wilbon Parks, Laura McGinnis, Christopher George, Willeena Booker, Patricia Asuncion, and Katiba Muhammed.

This is a free event. Donations are appreciated, but not required.  Received donations will go toward creating a school garden in Kampala Uganda, implemented by local partner SCINE. If you would like to donate, you can use the donation button below.

Who can participate?

Everyone can attend the event but poets reading their poetry are invited by Poetry X Hunger.

Do you have to donate to attend?

No, you can attend without donating, but all donations are welcomed and appreciated.
